Initially I intended not to publish on this catastrophe as it is my declared principle these days to concentrate only on positive events and trends that herald our ascension.
Here I am not violating this principle as I am only giving you a very credible and convincing evidence that humanity is indeed on the verge of WW3.
As such a war will not be allowed to happen on this uppermost mother planet, any serious, unpredictable and uncontrollable attempt to start a war by the dark ruling cabal in the West will be preceded by our ascension and the ID shift, while the descending 3D timeline will be destroyed by a MPR.
This is a leitmotif in all my articles on the ascension.
There are too many indications now that can no longer be brushed aside that a new WW3 is in the making.
In Ukraine the two war parties are ready to start a new offensive, which will be the last one for the Nazi regime in Kiev as the Russian patriots in Donbass will also win this third battle and this time will move far to the East to re-conquer the natural territory of Novorussia and then establish their independent state.
This third time there will be no rescue in the last moment by the West with the help of Putin as he is now ready to end up the Ukrainian crisis to his advantage.
The Russian patriots in Donbass are now military more powerful than ever and they have already won twice and are very confident to win a third time.
The Kiev troops are demoralized and the financial and economic situation in Ukraine is disastrous.
Kiev is in a state of default and the whole civil society is collapsing.
The days of Poroshenko and his regime are numbered as they now have to lead two civil wars at the same time – against the Russian patriots in Donbass and against the Nazi right sector in the West who have officially declared war on Poroshenko and want to topple him down.
No government can survive under such circumstances and the current regime is even more hated by the Ukrainian people than that of Yanukovich who had to flee the country in the Nazi coup d’etat.
Addendum: RT just published: NATO calls on all parties in Ukrainian crisis to deescalate, warns Russia. NATO expressed serious concern about the recent escalation of the conflict in eastern Ukraine on Wednesday, calling on all parties involved to de-escalate tensions and to exercise restraint. The bloc also conveyed a special message for Russia, warning Moscow that any attempt by the rebels “to take over more of Ukraine’s territory would be unacceptable to the international community”.
From the alliance’s point of view Russia has a special responsibility to help find a political solution to the crisis. NATO also insisted that everyone must comply with the Minsk agreements.
The statement was made after a new wave of violence in eastern Ukraine kicked off, with the Ukrainian army shelling rebel-controlled territories.
The escalation of the Ukrainian crisis is even outpaced by the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East. The USA and Turkey have declared war on Assad by officially announcing that they will bomb any party that attacks their rebels who fight against Assad.
Russia is desperately trying to build a broader coalition with Iran, Iraq and some Arab countries to save their ally Assad, but there is no way the Americans will allow this.
Hence a massive confrontation is underway in the Middle East which is a real tinderbox.
To this the conflict between Turkey and Kurdistan has already developed to a full-fledged civil war and the shaky Turkish alibi-democracy has been thrown under the bus.
The USA would love to start a conventional war against Russia and China but it has no chance to win it as they have no soldiers anymore that are ready to die for the dark Washington cabal.
The last two wars in Afghanistan and Iraq were lost by the US army and have totally demoralized not only the soldiers but also their officers.
The latest assessment of US military experts is that the US has no chance to win a conventional war against Russia. In Europe the Americans have 30 ooo soldiers, less than in South Korea and there they can barely protect the country against the million-army-menace from North Korea. The Russians have an intact army of more than one million active soldiers and possess some of the most innovative weapons. Their airborne forces are more powerful than that of the West.
All these facts are now broadly discussed in the MSM in East and West and this is the most clear sign that the big powers are hectically preparing for a devastating new world war according to the stupid behaviour – “show me your dick”. And in this respect neither the USA, nor Russia or China make any exception. Only the poor Europeans who have no dick are trapped in between and have no clue how to save their asses.
China has also multiplied its military power in the last two decades and now does not dread any confrontation with the USA as shown in the South Sea. But China has also become the most powerful economic country in the world with the biggest currency reserves. After it was hit by US cyber attacks and massive rogue trading that crashed the Chinese equity markets now China decided to respond and declare a currency war on the dollar by devaluing the renminbi and announcing surprisingly bigger gold reserves than initially known.
The response was swift.
The USA bombed Tianjin, the northern economic capital of China. Many theories were immediately forwarded such as this one that now seem to be confirmed by more and more reliable sources.
I must say immediately that I am not in the guessing business, labeled by the CIA as “conspiracy theories”, although we all know in the meantime that the only conspiracy theories are the official versions of the Orion/Reptilian governments and their MSM presstitutes about what is happening on this planet. The objective of this article is simply to make you aware of the fact that the world is really on the cusp of a new WW3 and when it begins it will be nuclear from the very beginning as the Empire of Evil has no chance to win a conventional war against Russia or China. There is a remarkable urgency now for the ruling cabal in the West as they know that their financial Ponzi scheme can crash any moment and then their economies and war machines will be paralysed and they cannot lead a war. The Russians and the Chinese know these and they only wait what their foes will do first.
It is unlikely that the USA will begin with a nuclear first strike as the Russians will immediately respond and destroy the whole USA.
Hence they now play a very dangerous poker by trying to intimidate the Russians and the Chinese with space attacks using new unknown weapons.
However, they forget that these two powers have their own clandestine WMD and will use them without hesitation when they decide that an all-out war cannot be avoided.
The destruction of humanity would be total if it were not for us, the incumbent Logos Gods, who are still here to the very last minute to prevent such an outcome.

A new nuclear WW3 is in the making, there is no doubt about it, and it could be unleashed any moment, unless we prevent it with our ascension and by virtue of triggering the MPR. Reading the latest news on the Internet, it is not difficult to come to this conclusion and we have expected it to happen as a plausible scenario in the End Time since we opened this website. Needless to say, I thoroughly cleaned my bedroom, etc, etc, and last night I managed to catch one of those insects before it could solidly bite me and though it was small, I managed to dissect it with tweezers while I looked at it under a magnifying glass. It was NOT organic.
Again, I will say that during none of these experiences was I frightened, and they have given me the insight I probably needed as to the actual extent of the battle we are in.
This morning (August 18th) when I went on the computer, I had to fix the time shown and when I did, the correct time was 8:18:18 on 8/18/8. I feel the worst is over and the end result of these experiences is, I can only think of having to show me such horrifying visions is an indication that we are very close now to heaving Gaia into a timeline where we are free in the love and light of the All That Is.

Dearest Georgi:
Last night (August 18th) I must have gone to an even lower timeline in my dream state. There was an extremely disturbing scene and so real, I’m having a hard time to write.
A woman I knew wanted to harm me was performing some surgical procedure on me and I allowed it as if she had control over me at some level. I was sitting on a dentist sort of chair and she was withdrawing something from my eyes there was an excess of with a metal contraption, I was terrified that she could make me blind but didn’t move. Then she injected something that made me numb and couldn’t talk properly, finally I managed to say that was ok, no more and she gathered her equipment and left. There were observers, like doctors and students commenting on the horrible things she had done to me.
Georgi, I was so peaceful and joyful all day yesterday, how is that possible? Can these entities still delay my ascension ? The dream was sooo real, my heart was in agony when I woke up!
You know? I’m in the middle of a 3 day celebration for the virgin in town, lots of religious events day and night and I have been very discerning as to what I choose to “see”. Yesterday I skipped all the events, rodeo, cock fights and mass and stayed home writing feeling powerful that I can choose. There was a band, humpa kind playing all night for the virgin while I was having a nightmare!
The previous night I participated in a folk dance which was beautiful and today I’ll do only a couple of thing where i feel comfortable… Maybe there are loose demons and dark entities around this religious fiesta and even though I chose to stay in my sanctuary, they found me.
Does that mean they still have power over me or they are just being displaced? I’m sorry to share such depressing experience, it’s such a contrast to what I’ve been writing that is not only surreal but scary.

I think that your fears about this nightmare are superfluous. First of all what we experience does not need to relay to us personally and in most cases it really does not. But we can imagine any situation and experience it personally as to make it real. It is then the human mind that makes these personal associations and interpretations.
For instance this night I dreamt that I was in Nazi Germany and it was a very dark and sinister atmosphere and I picked up two books from a half destroyed library and one happened to be a Nazi manual and I was wondering why I have taken this book and so on. I do not remember the details, but the dream was very depressing due to the Nazi time.
What we now do is cleansing past timelines and you must have processed some kind of procedures on women which may have really been done in the past and that this dream was associated with Mary virgin celebrations which are in August, at least in the Orthodox church, and represent a highlight in the calendar. I remember that in my small town on the Black Sea coast where we spent the summer holiday in my grandmother’s house, there was a church under the name of Mother Mary and peasants came from all over to sleep in the Church on August 25th when it was her official holiday. They believed that by doing so, they will be healed. In Bavaria which is catholic it is August 15th and is also a holiday with great celebrations and mass processions. I think that during this time huge healings are taking place and you must have participated in them and your mind has sent you these scenes. But we never truly participate in any of our dreams as we do not need to do this – it is only our human mind that translates our activities in human dramas.
Hence calm down and forget this dream simply as it has no relevance for you and this life.

The Ministry of Defense (MoD) is reporting today that President Putin has signed a “September War” order authorizing atomic weapon first strikes on NATO forces as fears grow within the Kremlin that the Obama regime is about to unleash a massive attack in Ukraine against both separate forces and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
President Putin signed this grave war order in Crimea early today during his security meeting with top Federation military leaders, this report says, and publically noted the Kremlin’s concerns by stating:

Why We are Not Ready for the Full Bodied Truth of Awakening (and Crucify Those Who Tell It)
The Truth:

A spirited controversy erupted this week over spiritual teacher Igor Kufayev’s commentary on his Facebook page (then reposted by Rick Archer at Buddha at the Gas Pump’s FB Page) about neo-advaita teacher Adyashanti’s most recent bout of a chronic illness that apparently emerged in the years after his awakening.
Wrote Kufayev: “What it brings is a sober reminder of how little we know and even less understand about the actuality of the process (of awakening) which demands realignment of all bodily systems to function in a totally different set of circumstances often unleashed by major impact of awakening.”
Folks were quick to defend Adya’s illness, to declare that it had nothing to do with the process of self-realization, and to accuse Igor Kufayev of being an opportunist in his decision to comment publicly about the state of another teacher.
But as someone who has experienced a profound awakening three years ago, I can say there are physical repercussions, side-effects both challenging and very often baffling. I have battled with unholy levels of fatigue; insomnia; a vibrating body that sometimes feels like a locomotive; heart palpitations (with no known medical cause); a complete inability to sustain vigorous exercise without near collapse (and I was a lifelong exercise fiend); migraine headaches (I’d suffered one only lifelong, during pregnancy years ago) and perhaps most challenging in the context of my marriage, the loss of sexual desire and a spontaneous move toward celibacy. Oh, and did I mention the rare and little understood auto-immune disease?

Part of the problem with coming out and declaring that an abiding awakening to true nature (which Adyashanti terms enlightenment) is a process that also involves the body, is that in contemporary non-duality circles, there is s strong preference to jump to the Absolute at the expense of the finite. But to dismiss the body as “unreal” is to leap frog over the very obvious fact that this enlightenment happens not when we are dead (that we know) but while we are alive. And being alive means –not incidentally– having a body.
In the words of Kufayev in response to criticisms of his post about Adyashanti’s health, “It’s not …. even about Adya’s illness, but about the sickness so prevalent in western spirituality which denies the body as the carrier of the soul.”

Igor Kufayev is not a voice in the wilderness, exactly.
There are other teachers telling the truth, including Adyashanti himself who devotes a whole chapter in his book The End of Your World to the topic of the impact of Awakening on the body. And by no means does Adya deny the body, despite the prevalence of that kind of denial by many teachers of contemporary non-duality.
In fact, Adya has said, “Ultimately, everything’s a dream, and yet you still have to deal with the body. It’s still there. You can call it “a dream,” but it’s still going to hurt if you bump your head.”
Yes. It will hurt when you bump your head, and when you bump into awakening, especially if the body is not particularly purified or ready.
This quote by teacher Anadi speaks directly to the impact of awakening on all levels. “We need to understand that enlightenment is not only a shift in perception and consciousness. It is an existential metamorphosis at all levels, which radically transforms the vibration of our energy system and the delicate balance of various elements in our brain and the subtle bodies. A sudden and complete enlightenment that skips all the intermediate steps would undoubtedly lead to a mental and emotional collapse, if not the physical death. Such a radical transformation as enlightenment requires adequate time for the body and mind to adapt to the dramatic change of energy and identity.”
The
keyword here (and one I have heard teacher Igor Kufayev use as well)
ismetamorphosis. For those who are fuzzy about the meaning of this word
from the online Miriam Webster:
a : change of physical form, structure, or substance especially by supernatural means.
b : a striking alteration in appearance, character, or circumstances.
What strikes me most about metamorphosis, is that it’s not subtle. It’s not like, “Oh, I think I’m no longer a caterpillar.” Rather, it’s more like: “Holy crap, I’ve got wings.”
Yet in the morphing toward winghood, there is this small bit of concern called the body. And rather than the body being collateral damage in this process of awakening, I will suggest it is instrumental.
By that I mean, the body is the vector for enlightenment. It is literally the delivery mechanism by which we experience the vastness of who we really are—at least while alive.
And if you look at cases like that of brain scientist Jill Bolte Taylor, who experienced what she described as enlightenment via a catastrophic stroke that shut down much of her left brain, then you have to admit this: the brain is a key player in how we perceive reality–and who we are.
If you have not had the chance to read “My Stroke of Insight” then at the very least watch this woman’s riveting Ted Talk in which she declares:
“Nirvana. I found Nirvana. And I remember thinking, there’s no way I would ever be able to squeeze the enormousness of myself back inside this tiny little body.
But then I realized, “But I’m still alive! I’m still alive, and I have found Nirvana. And if I have found Nirvana and I’m still alive, then everyone who is alive can find Nirvana.” And I pictured a world filled with beautiful, peaceful, compassionate, loving people who knew that they could come to this space at any time. And that they could purposely choose to step to the right of their left hemispheres and find this peace. And then I realized what a tremendous gift this experience could be, what a stroke of insight this could be to how we live our lives.”
What Jill Bolte Taylor is declaring is nothing short of revolutionary. A brain scientist has a stroke that knocks out her left brain and forces the right brain to dominate. As a result she writes a book where she basically says that what stands in the way of being a loving compassionate being who realizes itself as Oneness is simply our left brain.

Despite all the hoopla around defending Adyashanti’s right to his illness (sometimes I think we want our enlightened teachers to be mortally flawed just like us), it’s important to note that this illness happened to him (along with a little known stroke) AFTER his awakening.
And despite assertions by many that the body is irrelevant in awakening and post awakening, it might heed us all to listen to Adya’s own words on this topic in a letter to his Sangha Feb 2008:
“ I want to share with you some recent developments since I contracted Bell’s Palsy in early November. There are various causes of Bell’s Palsy, but mine seems to have been caused by a particular virus that causes not only facial paralysis but also nerve pain and fatigue. While I am happy to report that much of the paralysis and pain has healed, the underlying virus is still very active and gets activated by the energy that flows through me when I teach.”
I’ve placed in bold that last line because it’s clear here that Adya is admitting that this illness is exacerbated by something he vaguely terms “energy that flows.” Of course a tantric master might call it kundalini or shakti, but in Adyashanti’s “Zen” roots, and in most non-duality circles, there is no such beast. Why? Because kundalini is energy and it moves in this “illusory” thing called a body, this carrier for our soul that is vulnerable to illness and breakdown.

Why are we not ready to hear this? And why do we shut down, diminish, hide or crucify those who tell us the body is not incidental in awakening; that the body is the gateway itself?
Even a Taylor’s TED Talk is benignly billed as “Jill Bolte Taylor got a research opportunity few brain scientists would wish for: She had a massive stroke, and watched as her brain functions — motion, speech, self-awareness — shut down one by one.”
Yet her talk could easily and more accurately have been promoted as: “Brain scientist reveals the doorway to enlightenment is a matter of brain function.”
I suggest we are afraid to admit our bodies are key players in awakening because that suggests we might care for these vessels better. That we might tend the garden in which awareness of true nature might sprout. That we are stewards of the vehicle of our own enlightenment.
But to admit that is like admitting we might care for this planet as well, this homestead in our solar system that sustains life. It’s easier all round to dismiss the body and the planet as illusion, to imagine an ultimate reality that negates this proximate messy one called the earth and my body.
And let’s not even discuss the chance that an awakening that does not become ‘abiding” is perhaps an aborted one? What if, just as a fetus will not continue to grow in a hostile womb, the light of our own awareness can be choked off by the neglect of the very body it seeks to flourish in?
And what if too, there are casualties of awakening, where the fire of newly liberated awareness burns down the tinder-dry house of a body that is far from ready to withstand the heat of this metamorphic transformation? As teacher Kufayev often notes, many famous sages have died early, and of wasting diseases like cancer.
These are uncomfortable heresies in the absolutist world of modern non-duality. This is why we shoot the messengers rather than engage the message. The message is scary and formidable. But the messenger is an easy target.

It’s been a physically strenuous last three years. I don’t write about it because it’s not exactly a popular platform: Step right up, get your peace, joy, vastness, and oh, enlightenment sicknesses.
But I also know this body is re-wiring. This vehicle is fine-tuning. And when it’s not keeping up with the enlightenment program, it’s often because I am treating my physical being like bystander, or idle witness when it’s the fiber optic through which God surges.
And so, I’m learning. I’m learning to rest more. To meditate regularly (instant tune up). To eat better. To tenderly care for this precious body, this superconductor for grace.

Needless to say, I thoroughly cleaned my bedroom, etc, etc, and last night I managed to catch one of those insects before it could solidly bite me and though it was small, I managed to dissect it with tweezers while I looked at it under a magnifying glass. It was NOT organic.
Again, I will say that during none of these experiences was I frightened, and they have given me the insight I probably needed as to the actual extent of the battle we are in.
This morning (August 18th) when I went on the computer, I had to fix the time shown and when I did, the correct time was 8:18:18 on 8/18/8. I feel the worst is over and the end result of these experiences is, I can only think of having to show me such horrifying visions is an indication that we are very close now to heaving Gaia into a timeline where we are free in the love and light of the All That Is.

Dearest Georgi:
Last night (August 18th) I must have gone to an even lower timeline in my dream state. There was an extremely disturbing scene and so real, I’m having a hard time to write.
A woman I knew wanted to harm me was performing some surgical procedure on me and I allowed it as if she had control over me at some level. I was sitting on a dentist sort of chair and she was withdrawing something from my eyes there was an excess of with a metal contraption, I was terrified that she could make me blind but didn’t move. Then she injected something that made me numb and couldn’t talk properly, finally I managed to say that was ok, no more and she gathered her equipment and left. There were observers, like doctors and students commenting on the horrible things she had done to me.
Georgi, I was so peaceful and joyful all day yesterday, how is that possible? Can these entities still delay my ascension ? The dream was sooo real, my heart was in agony when I woke up!
You know? I’m in the middle of a 3 day celebration for the virgin in town, lots of religious events day and night and I have been very discerning as to what I choose to “see”. Yesterday I skipped all the events, rodeo, cock fights and mass and stayed home writing feeling powerful that I can choose. There was a band, humpa kind playing all night for the virgin while I was having a nightmare!
The previous night I participated in a folk dance which was beautiful and today I’ll do only a couple of thing where i feel comfortable… Maybe there are loose demons and dark entities around this religious fiesta and even though I chose to stay in my sanctuary, they found me.
Does that mean they still have power over me or they are just being displaced? I’m sorry to share such depressing experience, it’s such a contrast to what I’ve been writing that is not only surreal but scary.

I think that your fears about this nightmare are superfluous. First of all what we experience does not need to relay to us personally and in most cases it really does not. But we can imagine any situation and experience it personally as to make it real. It is then the human mind that makes these personal associations and interpretations.
For instance this night I dreamt that I was in Nazi Germany and it was a very dark and sinister atmosphere and I picked up two books from a half destroyed library and one happened to be a Nazi manual and I was wondering why I have taken this book and so on. I do not remember the details, but the dream was very depressing due to the Nazi time.
What we now do is cleansing past timelines and you must have processed some kind of procedures on women which may have really been done in the past and that this dream was associated with Mary virgin celebrations which are in August, at least in the Orthodox church, and represent a highlight in the calendar. I remember that in my small town on the Black Sea coast where we spent the summer holiday in my grandmother’s house, there was a church under the name of Mother Mary and peasants came from all over to sleep in the Church on August 25th when it was her official holiday. They believed that by doing so, they will be healed. In Bavaria which is catholic it is August 15th and is also a holiday with great celebrations and mass processions. I think that during this time huge healings are taking place and you must have participated in them and your mind has sent you these scenes. But we never truly participate in any of our dreams as we do not need to do this – it is only our human mind that translates our activities in human dramas.
Hence calm down and forget this dream simply as it has no relevance for you and this life.

Federation preparations, however, this report states, are “much more severe” as at least 50,000 highly trained troops are prepared to immediately intervene in Ukraine once war starts, and the massive buildup of the 20th Army along the Western front continues at an accelerated pace.
This MoD report further notes that President Putin’s order extends to 15 October the massive air defense drills now ongoing in Ashuluk, which is about 500 kilometers (310 miles) from the Federation’s border with eastern Ukraine should they be needed to fight in this war too.
And with tens-of-thousands of Western troops pouring into Spain for Exercise Trident Juncture 2015, which NATO calls the “most ambitious” in its “modern history”, MoD experts in this report say, the expected last week of September beginning of this unprecedented war provocation is what will “trigger” the beginning of war in Ukraine.
With outgoing US Army chief of staff, General Ray Odierno, stating this past week that Russia is the top military threat to the United States, this report says, it is curious as to why this would be so as America already spends more for militarism and war making than all other countries in the world combined.
As the US has conducted a number of secret military drills over the summer, the results of which left American defense officials and military forces worried that their county is not prepared for a sustained war against Russia, MoD analysts in this report further note, the Obama regime is set to begin it anyway as they gear up for the onrushing economic apocalypse facing them next month.
And to how catastrophic this September economic apocalypse is going to be, the American dissident website InfoWars.com has, also, warned this week that “outright panic” has now overtaken those who know what is coming.

Why We are Not Ready for the Full Bodied Truth of Awakening (and Crucify Those Who Tell It)
The
Myth: Awakening is a shift of perception, a mental-emotional acrobatic

A spirited controversy erupted this week over spiritual teacher Igor Kufayev’s commentary on his Facebook page (then reposted by Rick Archer at Buddha at the Gas Pump’s FB Page) about neo-advaita teacher Adyashanti’s most recent bout of a chronic illness that apparently emerged in the years after his awakening.
In
a nutshell, Igor Kufayev suggested that Adyashanti’s recent relapse of
Bell’s Palsy was a part of a larger picture–that of the toll of
post-awakening energies on the body.
Wrote Kufayev: “What it brings is a sober reminder of how little we know and even less understand about the actuality of the process (of awakening) which demands realignment of all bodily systems to function in a totally different set of circumstances often unleashed by major impact of awakening.”
Folks were quick to defend Adya’s illness, to declare that it had nothing to do with the process of self-realization, and to accuse Igor Kufayev of being an opportunist in his decision to comment publicly about the state of another teacher.
But as someone who has experienced a profound awakening three years ago, I can say there are physical repercussions, side-effects both challenging and very often baffling. I have battled with unholy levels of fatigue; insomnia; a vibrating body that sometimes feels like a locomotive; heart palpitations (with no known medical cause); a complete inability to sustain vigorous exercise without near collapse (and I was a lifelong exercise fiend); migraine headaches (I’d suffered one only lifelong, during pregnancy years ago) and perhaps most challenging in the context of my marriage, the loss of sexual desire and a spontaneous move toward celibacy. Oh, and did I mention the rare and little understood auto-immune disease?

Part of the problem with coming out and declaring that an abiding awakening to true nature (which Adyashanti terms enlightenment) is a process that also involves the body, is that in contemporary non-duality circles, there is s strong preference to jump to the Absolute at the expense of the finite. But to dismiss the body as “unreal” is to leap frog over the very obvious fact that this enlightenment happens not when we are dead (that we know) but while we are alive. And being alive means –not incidentally– having a body.
In the words of Kufayev in response to criticisms of his post about Adyashanti’s health, “It’s not …. even about Adya’s illness, but about the sickness so prevalent in western spirituality which denies the body as the carrier of the soul.”

Igor Kufayev is not a voice in the wilderness, exactly.
There are other teachers telling the truth, including Adyashanti himself who devotes a whole chapter in his book The End of Your World to the topic of the impact of Awakening on the body. And by no means does Adya deny the body, despite the prevalence of that kind of denial by many teachers of contemporary non-duality.
In fact, Adya has said, “Ultimately, everything’s a dream, and yet you still have to deal with the body. It’s still there. You can call it “a dream,” but it’s still going to hurt if you bump your head.”
Yes. It will hurt when you bump your head, and when you bump into awakening, especially if the body is not particularly purified or ready.
This quote by teacher Anadi speaks directly to the impact of awakening on all levels. “We need to understand that enlightenment is not only a shift in perception and consciousness. It is an existential metamorphosis at all levels, which radically transforms the vibration of our energy system and the delicate balance of various elements in our brain and the subtle bodies. A sudden and complete enlightenment that skips all the intermediate steps would undoubtedly lead to a mental and emotional collapse, if not the physical death. Such a radical transformation as enlightenment requires adequate time for the body and mind to adapt to the dramatic change of energy and identity.”
The
keyword here (and one I have heard teacher Igor Kufayev use as well)
ismetamorphosis. For those who are fuzzy about the meaning of this word
from the online Miriam Webster: a : change of physical form, structure, or substance especially by supernatural means.
b : a striking alteration in appearance, character, or circumstances.
What strikes me most about metamorphosis, is that it’s not subtle. It’s not like, “Oh, I think I’m no longer a caterpillar.” Rather, it’s more like: “Holy crap, I’ve got wings.”
Yet in the morphing toward winghood, there is this small bit of concern called the body. And rather than the body being collateral damage in this process of awakening, I will suggest it is instrumental.
By that I mean, the body is the vector for enlightenment. It is literally the delivery mechanism by which we experience the vastness of who we really are—at least while alive.
And if you look at cases like that of brain scientist Jill Bolte Taylor, who experienced what she described as enlightenment via a catastrophic stroke that shut down much of her left brain, then you have to admit this: the brain is a key player in how we perceive reality–and who we are.
If you have not had the chance to read “My Stroke of Insight” then at the very least watch this woman’s riveting Ted Talk in which she declares:
“Nirvana. I found Nirvana. And I remember thinking, there’s no way I would ever be able to squeeze the enormousness of myself back inside this tiny little body.
But then I realized, “But I’m still alive! I’m still alive, and I have found Nirvana. And if I have found Nirvana and I’m still alive, then everyone who is alive can find Nirvana.” And I pictured a world filled with beautiful, peaceful, compassionate, loving people who knew that they could come to this space at any time. And that they could purposely choose to step to the right of their left hemispheres and find this peace. And then I realized what a tremendous gift this experience could be, what a stroke of insight this could be to how we live our lives.”
What Jill Bolte Taylor is declaring is nothing short of revolutionary. A brain scientist has a stroke that knocks out her left brain and forces the right brain to dominate. As a result she writes a book where she basically says that what stands in the way of being a loving compassionate being who realizes itself as Oneness is simply our left brain.

Despite all the hoopla around defending Adyashanti’s right to his illness (sometimes I think we want our enlightened teachers to be mortally flawed just like us), it’s important to note that this illness happened to him (along with a little known stroke) AFTER his awakening.
And despite assertions by many that the body is irrelevant in awakening and post awakening, it might heed us all to listen to Adya’s own words on this topic in a letter to his Sangha Feb 2008:
“ I want to share with you some recent developments since I contracted Bell’s Palsy in early November. There are various causes of Bell’s Palsy, but mine seems to have been caused by a particular virus that causes not only facial paralysis but also nerve pain and fatigue. While I am happy to report that much of the paralysis and pain has healed, the underlying virus is still very active and gets activated by the energy that flows through me when I teach.”
I’ve placed in bold that last line because it’s clear here that Adya is admitting that this illness is exacerbated by something he vaguely terms “energy that flows.” Of course a tantric master might call it kundalini or shakti, but in Adyashanti’s “Zen” roots, and in most non-duality circles, there is no such beast. Why? Because kundalini is energy and it moves in this “illusory” thing called a body, this carrier for our soul that is vulnerable to illness and breakdown.

Why are we not ready to hear this? And why do we shut down, diminish, hide or crucify those who tell us the body is not incidental in awakening; that the body is the gateway itself?
Even a Taylor’s TED Talk is benignly billed as “Jill Bolte Taylor got a research opportunity few brain scientists would wish for: She had a massive stroke, and watched as her brain functions — motion, speech, self-awareness — shut down one by one.”
Yet her talk could easily and more accurately have been promoted as: “Brain scientist reveals the doorway to enlightenment is a matter of brain function.”
I suggest we are afraid to admit our bodies are key players in awakening because that suggests we might care for these vessels better. That we might tend the garden in which awareness of true nature might sprout. That we are stewards of the vehicle of our own enlightenment.
But to admit that is like admitting we might care for this planet as well, this homestead in our solar system that sustains life. It’s easier all round to dismiss the body and the planet as illusion, to imagine an ultimate reality that negates this proximate messy one called the earth and my body.
And let’s not even discuss the chance that an awakening that does not become ‘abiding” is perhaps an aborted one? What if, just as a fetus will not continue to grow in a hostile womb, the light of our own awareness can be choked off by the neglect of the very body it seeks to flourish in?
And what if too, there are casualties of awakening, where the fire of newly liberated awareness burns down the tinder-dry house of a body that is far from ready to withstand the heat of this metamorphic transformation? As teacher Kufayev often notes, many famous sages have died early, and of wasting diseases like cancer.
These are uncomfortable heresies in the absolutist world of modern non-duality. This is why we shoot the messengers rather than engage the message. The message is scary and formidable. But the messenger is an easy target.

It’s been a physically strenuous last three years. I don’t write about it because it’s not exactly a popular platform: Step right up, get your peace, joy, vastness, and oh, enlightenment sicknesses.
But I also know this body is re-wiring. This vehicle is fine-tuning. And when it’s not keeping up with the enlightenment program, it’s often because I am treating my physical being like bystander, or idle witness when it’s the fiber optic through which God surges.
And so, I’m learning. I’m learning to rest more. To meditate regularly (instant tune up). To eat better. To tenderly care for this precious body, this superconductor for grace.
Awareness is here, resting in bed, sipping Yogi tea.
